In the heart of nature below Velika planina is the magical village Slovenia Eco resort. As one of the ambassadors of the portal Zadovoljna.si, my family and I spent a relaxing weekend surrounded by a lot of positive energy. Many pets, excellent cuisine and beautiful views of the mountains have made us an unforgettable experience.
Slovenia Eco resort se nahaja v okolici Kamnika. Zaradi bližine Velike planine, ga ob obisku le te mnogo ljudi izkoristi za nočitev in počitek po izletu, za kolesarjenje ali pa preprost sprehod v družbi narave in domačih živali. Zgrajen je ob strugi manjše reke, katera je kristalno čista in tudi ledeno mrzla. 🙂
It has been ranked among the 7 best eco resorts in Europe and also among the 13 best in the world, which is another proof of their excellence. Their offerings range from glamping houses to larger wooden houses for 4 or more people, a Finnish sauna, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a children's playground, a sun terrace and much more.
We stayed in a cozy wooden cottage designed for 4 + 1 people (130-195 €, depending on the season). The houses are inspired by real shepherd's cottages, which were the trademark of shepherds in the Kamnik Alps. They are equipped with a double bed on the ground floor and upstairs, a private bathroom, a kitchen with dining area and a terrace. Many glass surfaces and the smell of wood create a perfect sense of harmony with nature.
During the walk, we stopped at a wooden barrier where deer are located. We approached and admired these beautiful animals. This is a great experience especially for children, as deer are very friendly, you can feed and also cuddle them.
You can also find ducks, donkeys, chickens, mutton and Indian peacocks at the resort. There is also organised animal feeding during the week, where their workers introduce you to the animals and invite you to feed them yourself.
The village has the largest hunting observatory in the world, 18 meters high and weighs an incredible 120 tons. It has room for 120 people and is currently awaiting entry into the Guinness Book of Records.
A delicious dinner awaited us at the restaurant, based on local, fresh and local delicacies. For dinner, we enjoyed on the restaurant terrace, where we were accompanied by a beautiful sunset behind the nearby mountains.
More and more people are choosing to spend their holidays in touch with nature. Our experience at Slovenia Eco Resort has been invaluable and we believe that everyone should spend such a weekend in the countryside once in a lifetime.
